Summer Pilates

The summer is dead… long live the winter! Once again the season of cold, gloom and too much food has set in: the prelude to dieting, exercise and resolutions in the New Year.

But why start then? If you are serious about getting that perfect beach body in time for next summer then there is no time like the present to start. Cut the junk out now and get exercising and you will be the ogled one on the beach in 2013. Follow these simple steps for a healthy, pain free plan to get your confidence back for next year!

Pilates.

I thought that I would cut right to the chase with this one. There is one thing that almost every celebrity beach body has in common, and that is Pilates. There is no better way to lose weight, get fit and tone your body like an Olympic gymnast than by taking up Pilates. Pilates is a series of exercises, yoga like stretches, and toning methods that is great for realigning your body, your energetics and getting your muscles flexible, your fat burning and your muscles toning.

I will make a shout out here to Ivana Daniell, a Pilates instructor that I know. She is, in my opinion, the best teacher of pilates London has to offer, and counts` half of the Royal Families of the world as clients to prove it.

You might also want to look into joining a yoga class. Whatever you decide, make sure to keep a regular routine, practicing at least twice a week, once with your instructor and once on your own.

Diet.

The first thing to do when you make the decision to lose weight is to have a look at your diet. Are you eating too many unsaturated fats, sugars, carbohydrates or dairy products?

Reassess your diet and cut out all of the negatives. My biggest recommendation is to ignore all of the whacky diet plans and cut straight to the chase: cut out meat and dairy. A vegan diet is, by far and away, the healthiest diet regardless. It will also allow you to shed the pounds in a healthy, gradual way that will make your body say yippee!

Cut out alcohol.

Alcohol

Whilst you are on your diet you will want to cut out alcohol, at least during the week. There is nothing worse for your great new body than to fill it with alcohol. Alcohol created hormone imbalance and will hinder your exercise regime!
